FARGO Persona C-30
One side, or two?
The Persona C30 plastic ID Card Printer
comes in both single- and dual-sided models.
If you only need cards printed on one side,
choose the compact, single-sided Fargo C30
printer. But if
you want the flexibility of printing on both
sides to put a bar code on the back, for
example for the dual-sided Fargo C30 printer.
Either way,
you’ll get one of the easiest-to-use ID card
printer available: the Fargo Persona C30

FARGO DTC-400
The Fargo DTC400 is identical to the DTC300 - it
is either single- or double-sided printer - but, unlike
the Fargo DTC 300, the double-sided printing module can
be added at a later stage. It also offers higher
print security than the DTC300 card printer thanks to the
Ultraviolet print option. In addition, there are
more field-upgradeable options available,
allowing users to purchase the standard unit and
add encoding modules and the duplex printing
module as and when required.
The security features include password control
of the printer, security imaging (enabling
covert ultraviolet features to be added to the
card) and printer diagnostics. The 30-card
output hopper can be upgraded to a 100-card
output hopper. The double-sided printing module
includes the 'e-card housing' necessary for the
Mifare, HID and contact chip encoding options.
The Fargo DTC 400 comes with a one-year warranty on the
printer and printhead.
Consumables include the full range of colour and
monochrome ribbons (black, blue, red, green,
white, silver and gold).
Connection is via USB. Printer drivers include
Windows 98SE, Me, 2000 and XP.

FARGO DTC-500 SERIES
The
DTC-500
series of desktop card printer / encoders
can print edge-to-edge on standard CR-80
cards, from 10 mil to 50 mil thick,
producing crisp, monochrome or full-colour

/ 500 monochrome (K) cards per hour, making
them ideal for large-volume and on-demand
applications. The Fargo DTC500 series have two
card hoppers (200 cards) and include a
special security package, which comprises a
card hopper lock, SmartShield™ (image in
overlay) and SmartGuard™ (smart card user

contact and contactless smart card encoder (Mifare);
and Prox card encoder (HID read only).
Drivers include Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0,

FARGO DTC-550
SERIES
The Fargo DTC550 Direct-to-Card
Printer / Encoder supports secure ID card
issuance at multiple locations throughout
the enterprise. With an Ethernet port and
internal print server, your IT staff can
install a DTC550 anywhere on a LAN. The
optional Print Security software gives your
security team tight control over ID card
printer access and use. The DTC550 provides
greater flexibility when you’re planning
widespread or high-volume card issuance for
applications such as employee access cards,
government and student IDs, customer loyalty
and membership cards. Print Security
software protects access and issuance
throughout the enterprise. In a networked
environment, it’s easy to think of the
Fargo DTC-550 card printer as just another office printer. It’s
not. Without proper security measures, a DTC 550
printer could be used to produce fraudulent
ID cards that are indistinguishable from the
real thing. That makes Fargo’s optional
Print Security software a critical part of
any DTC550 solution. Whether you choose the
LAN-based Print Security Manager, or the
stand-alone Print Security Suite, you’ll get
applications that provide essential
protection for the DTC550 card printer and your entire
card issuance system. Print Security
software adds password-controlled access to
the Fargo DTC 550 ID printer. It can notify key personnel by
text message or e-mail whenever printing is
attempted outside of authorized hours.

FARGO HDP5000
The Fargo HDP5000 is a high-definition,
duplex, retransfer card printer and encoder.
Designed to print technology-rich cards,
this user-friendly device easily handles the
ridges and indentations caused by internal RFID
antennae, integrated circuits and smart
chips, without loss of print consistency.
Fargo HDP-5000 retransfer printer patented High Definition Printing
technology ensures that there is never any
contact between the print head and card, so
there is no chance of damaging the internal
electronics of the card. It will even print
right to the edge of a smart chip and can
print over the edge of a CR80 (credit card
size) card. Clamshell cards of varying thicknesses (0,76 to 1,778mil) are also handled with
ease. Print time is less than one minute (YMCKO / transfer).
Optional, field-upgradable encoding units (Mifare/HID
iClass and proximity and contact smart card)
are available. Cards can be printed and
encoded in a single pass, ensuring the cards
are always encoded in order. A lamination
unit can be added at a later stage to enable
the application of a clear or holographic
overlaminate to the cards for additional
security and durability - see description
below. Connectivity: USB only (parallel port
to be included shortly). Drivers: Windows
2000 and XP.

FARGO HDP600-LC
Featuring the same specification as the standard
600 (above), the Fargo HDP 600-LC includes a
factory-installed card lamination module. This
module applies a tough PET overlaminate to the
front and/or back of the card within the same
pass as printing and encoding for added
protection, thereby extending the life of the
card and reducing the need for replacement
cards. The overlaminate can be clear or include
a unique security hologram or OVD. The HDP-600
LC driver
provides direct control of lamination, with an
adjustable card flattener to eliminate card
'bowling'. Incorrectly encoded cards are
automatically ejected into the in-built card
reject hopper.
